Submitted by Ms. Tess!I’m becoming a huge fan of Susan Gal. I loved her first book, Night Lights, and I love this, her second one, dedicated to her dog, Wanda Woo! In this story, an expressive and engaging canine pleads with the reader to “Please take me for a walk.” This pup wants to chase squirrels and birds, and greet all the neighbors. He wants to say hi to all the shopkeepers, especially the butcher. He wants to watch the kids playing in the park, and the guys shooting hoops. He wants to feel the wind and the sun, and he runs and rolls in the grass. Plus there’s lots a new dogs to meet! But most importantly, he wants everyone to see him with his very best friend! If you don’t want to take this dog for a walk after all that, I don’t know what’s wrong with you! This woofer gives The Pigeon a run for his money. See this book listed in our catalog
