Submitted by Ms. Amanda!Ian Falconer has done it again! He has told a hilarious tale featuring the ever loveable Olivia! In Olivia and the Fairy Princesses Olivia is depressed. Olivia does not want to be like everyone else, she does not want to fit in, and she does not want to be a fairy princess. Everyone wants to be a fairy princess. At birthday parties, dance class, and school her friends always want to be fairy princesses, even some of the boys! “Why is it always a pink princess?” Olivia wonders. Why not a princess from Africa, Thailand, or even China? Olivia has had it with princesses. She thinks perhaps she could be a nurse, or a reporter, or maybe she could adopt orphans from all over the world. Then it hits her: Olivia will not be a princess… she will be Queen! This is a great picture book to teach little ones to be themselves. It is OK to be different and to dream big! Who else shares Olivia’s dream? I know I do! See this book listed in our catalog
