Animals Should Definitely Not Wear Clothing written by Judi Barrett and drawn by Ron Barrett. There are any number of very good reasons why most animals go around undressed. In fact, as the author of this classic book explains, animals should definitely NOT wear clothing. Page by page, colored drawings and large-print, deadpan text introduce a new animal and clearly show why clothing is a poor choice for that creature. A porcupine’s quills would tear her shirt, a snake would slide right out of his pants, kangaroos already have pockets… and just think how many neckties a giraffe would need to tie! You’ll laugh out loud as you learn what sartorial silliness would result if a camel, mouse, sheep, pig, hen, goat, walrus, moose, opossum, and even an elephant attempt to get dressed. I so loved this book as a kid, but I hadn't thought about it in ages. Nice pick!
