“When Chu sneezed, bad things happened.” So begins Chu’s Day written by Neil Gaiman, with pictures by Adam Rex. It’s the adorable story of a baby panda with a hazardous case of hay fever. Chu wears goggles and a helmet, just in case he sneezes, which gives you an indication of how disastrous his sniffles can be! He starts his day at the library, where’s there’s lots of dust. Will he sneeze? No, thank goodness. Then he goes to the diner, where there’s pepper in the air. Does he have to sneeze? No. Whew, that was a close one. But what will happen when Chu and his parents visit the circus, and he feels like sneezing? And how will he feel after he lets loose? If you want to find out, read Chu’s Day. Today!
