How to Babysit a Grandma by Jean Reagan and illustrated by Lee Wildish. If you’re lucky, when you babysit Grandma, you might get to spend the night! There are many tips for babysitting Grandma. You can start by using your secret tap that only she knows. Then, after saying goodbye to your parents, you can tell Grandma all the things you have planned. As the babysitter you will have to let her choose. Push her on the swings, feed the ducks, and slide down the slide. You can sing a duet, or line up her shoes to play shoe shop. After you eat, and it starts to get dark, take her outside to see the first star. Snuggle and read. Choose a place to sleep. If she’s missing Mom and Dad, tell her they will be back tomorrow bright and early. At goodbye time give her a big hug! And before you leave, be sure to ask: “When can I babysit you again?” See this book listed in our catalog
