Yoda: The Story of a Cat and his Kittens by Beth Stern. Yoda is a Persian kitten who dreams about becoming a supercat, but is living in an animal shelter, waiting to be adopted. It seems like all the other kittens are adopted before him, until one day a nice woman comes to the shelter and takes Yoda home with her! Even though Yoda is happy to have a home, there is something missing. Then he discovers that there are four kittens in another room of his new house and they are not being good kittens! Archie smells, Petunia is climbing, Sadie is scratching a painting, and Oliver is sleeping in his milk bowl. Yoda becomes a father figure to the kittens, teaching them to behave and snuggling with them at night. He has finally become the supercat he has always wanted to be! Readers of all ages will enjoy seeing Yoda become such a great foster papa and following the kittens’ antics perfectly captured by illustrator Devin Crane. See this book listed in our catalog
