An umbrella left behind on the front porch. A pair of binoculars left in the backyard after a meteor shower. A lawn chair left near the campfire after a marshmallow roast. Some Things I’ve Lost by Cybele Young is a list of everyday items gone missing and on the surface doesn’t seem like anything too special. At first glance many of the items appear to be perfectly normal, but as the reader turns the page the items transform into things that are beyond imagination. This is done through the amazing ability Cybele Young has for creating exquisite paper sculptures. Some of these items, ranging from old bags to wrist watches, transform it to things that are outside of explanation. Some Things I’ve Lost invites readers to consider the inevitability of change and the power of imagination. See this book listed in our catalog
